Tremaniac Racing Continues their good form in ANDRA 2010/2011 Pro Stock Championship

Last weekend’s (April 8th and 9th) Aeroflow by Rocket industries event once again seen the Tremaniac Racing team do well with Aaron taking the event win and extending his 2010/2011 championship points lead.
Aaron closed out qualifying in second position with a time of (7.064/192.58); however, due to Lee Bektash not being able to make the field for eliminations on Saturday, Aaron was awarded the number one qualifying position. Lee and the Mopar Australia team recorded a (7.03/194.69) prior to sustaining engine damage during the third and final qualifying session.
“Lee and the team from Mopar Australia have been dominating the E.T’s and speeds with help from American tuning wiz, Tommi Laine. I feel for the whole team as they only ever seem to have issues at ANDRA Pro Series events,” explained Aaron Tremayne.
Brother and teammate Tyronne Tremayne concluded qualifying in the second position after the adjustment of the final qualifying standings. Tyronne recorded a pass of (7.083/192.71)
In the opening round of eliminations, Aaron received a bye run with only being 15 cars fronting for eliminations. Aaron recorded a (7.137/190.48), which was good enough to get lane choice for the second round against teammate – Jason Hedges.
Tyronne Tremayne met with Frank Nirta during the opening round and was lucky enough to win when Tyronne had to back pedal the car after severe tyre shake that threw the car out of gear. Tyronne took the win with a non-representative (7.288/191.10) to Nirta’s (7.754/171.14), which meant that Tyronne would lose lane choice for the next round.
In the second round it was Tyronne against Michael Ali. Tyronne left with a great .007 light only to be outdone by Ali’s .003 light, unfortunately for Tyronne he was again struck by gremlins as he blew the clutch off and recorded another unrepresentative pass of 7.231 seconds, giving Michael Ali the win with a 7.141 second pass.
“For the last year and a half we have been chasing issues with my car. We have found the problem which was so simple, a small clutch switch fault, so hopefully the rest of the season will have positive results,” said Tyronne.
Aaron made his road to the final and the event win, by defeating teammate Jason Hedges in the second round 7.099 (low elapsed time of eliminations) to Hedges’ 7.13, while defeating Dave Newcombe 7.10 to 7.93. In the final he was up against crowd favourite, John Barbagallo. As Aaron was bought into stage Aaron double bulbed.
“I couldn’t believe it. I was looking at my crew who was bringing me into stage. I stopped to look up at the tree to prestage the car and then noticed that I had both bulbs lit. I didn’t know how deep I had gone in, so I had to play it safe and hence the bad reaction time. We went 7.10 to John’s 7.15. I apologise to John for what happened, it was an accident and not intended,” remarked Aaron.
“All in all it was a great weekend for the Tremaniac Racing team. Due to the short turnaround time during rounds it put pressure on the team, however, they lived up to the challenge and got the job done, so a huge thanks to them,” concluded Aaron.
Aaron Tremayne currently leads the 2010/2011 ANDRA Pro Series Pro Stock championship with just two events remaining. The next event for the Tremaniac Racing team will be the 2011 Nitro Champs held at Sydney Dragway April 29 – May 1.
Tremaniac Racing would like to thank: Aqualine Pools, Tremaniac Racing Engines, Noonan Race Engineering, DecoGlaze® Glass Splashbacks, Bradmans Windows and Doors, Millers Hardware, LAT Racing Oils Australia for their continued support of the team’s racing efforts.
Tremaniac Racing to Return to Sydney Dragway April 8 – 9

As a result of the inclement weather that impacted this past weekend’s Aeroflow by Rocket Industries Pro Stock round, the Tremaniac racing team will return to Sydney Dragway to complete the event.
The original event, which had been scheduled for March 18 – 19, only seen Pro Stock teams get one round of qualifying before the rain set in for the rest of the weekend.
“After the meeting was called all of the Pro Stock teams held a meeting with ANDRA CEO Tony Thornton as well as Sydney Dragway personnel John Henman and Ray Treasure to discuss what could be done, taking into consideration at this point in the season there had only been one round completed, the 2010 Fuchs Lubricants Australian Nationals,” explained Kerry Tremayne, Tremaniac Racing team owner.
The decision, which had been made, entailed Pro Stock being run as the headline act at the next round of Sydney Dragway’s Track Championship series, scheduled for April 8 – 9.
“As per the ANDRA Rule Book, points will be awarded for the session that was completed on Friday night and the April 8 – 9 will be regarded as an entirely separate event,” explained Kerry.
During the first qualifying session, Aaron Tremayne turned in a 7.16 second pass, which placed him in the second position at the conclusion of the session.
“It’s a shame that the event got rained out. We had been looking forward to this event for some time considering that we haven’t raced in almost six months. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Sydney Dragway and ANDRA for working with Pro Stock teams to provide us with another event,” remarked Aaron Tremayne.
Tremaniac Racing would like to thank sponsors: Aqualine Pools, Tremaniac Racing Engines, Noonan Race Engineering. LAT Racing Oils, SJ Fox Homes, DecoGlaze® Glass Splashbacks, .Bradmans Windows, Millers Hardware, Prop Industries, Corfield Media Solutions.
Tremaniac Racing Get Back to Business March 19 – 20

For the second time in the 2010/2011 ANDRA Pro Series, the Tremaniac Racing team will be hitting the track under a championship round format. Aaron Tremayne will be coming into the event the points leader, having won the only event to have been contested thus far this season, the season opener 2010 Fuchs Lubricants Australian Nationals.
Just two weeks ago, the Tremaniac Racing team made their first appearance at their home-town track, Willowbank Raceway, Ipswich, Queensland, to make some test laps in readiness for the March 19 – 20 event.
“It’s been a disappointing season especially with losing an event in January due to the floods that devastated Brisbane and surrounding areas. Our thoughts continue to go out to all of those that have been affected by this terrible natural disaster. However, nonetheless, we have spent this time trying to make the cars faster. We have been doing some R&D at Tremaniac Racing Engines headquarters at Yatala (www.tremaniacracingengines.com.au)
Pro Stock Drag Racing is all about continued R&D to stay up there with the faster cars, but by our testing at the Bank we went the wrong way. ” said Aaron Tremayne.
Tyronne Tremayne, team-mate and brother to Aaron, didn’t have the season opener that he would have liked , however he believes that the team will struggle, even though Aaron has a good handle on the cars and they are fast for the power they produce.
“When we came to Sydney for the Nationals in September, we knew it would be hard with many cars producing more power and better numbers as you could see from our qualifying positions. With a lot of teams now having substantial sponsors on board we will see the level of performance lifted even higher and this will probably rule the way pro stock is heading, said Tyronne.
Be sure not to miss the Pro Stock action at Sydney Dragway, March 19 – 20 to witness the continued assault of Tremaniac Racing in pursuit of their fourth consecutive Australian Pro Stock Championship.
