Tremaniac Racing is a second generation racing team, which is family orientated and dedicated to the sport of Drag Racing. Tremaniac Racing regards themselves as a professional team and they always strive to maintain a high standard in all of their endeavors.
With Kerry’s love for drag racing growing he sold the Falcon and bought his first altered that he raced in competition eliminator in the b/a class. After a year of racing it was evident that more horse power was needed so Kerry built a brand new engine for the car.
Success was immediate with many wins, the most memorable being winning the 1979 New Year Series and the 1980 Winternationals where he broke both ends of the national record.
Kerry competed at all the major drag racing events around the country . In 1981 he contracted Bill Jones to build him a then state of the art race car which was evident by winning the Andra car of the Year award.
Kerry retired in 1982 to raise a family and it was not until 1995 that he again became involved in motor sport this time in the form of Ski Racing. The boat was called Tremaniac hence the name .It was a family affair and they proved hugely successful in their ski racing endeavours.
In 2002, Kerry made the decision to return to Drag Racing when Kerry purchased his old car from Greg Bellert. Another altered was purchased from Wayne Hughes in Cairns for his son Aaron. Aaron had moderate success in the car, with the biggest win of his career in the altered being the 2004 Tin Tops. Kerry’s return to Drag Racing was not so successful.
The family had always been huge fans of Pro Stock and made the decision that it was time to fulfill the dream and go Pro Stock racing. The team debuted at the 2005 Tin Tops with a Pontiac Firebird. Aaron was the driver of the car and then went on to make the semi finals of his debut meeting in the car.
Today, Tremaniac Racing fields two Wally Stroupe Chevrolet Cobalt Pro Stockers, which are driven by both the Tremaniac Boys. Aaron and Tyronne have held both ends of the National Record many times in their career. Tyronne is currently the second quickest and fastest with a time of 7.075 at 193.80. Aaron is the 2007/2008 and the 2008/2009 Australian Pro Stock Champion.
