What an event this was for the Tremaniac Team, after testing the week before at the warm ups the team was concerned about their performance especially with the Australian Championship on the line. Aaron and Tyronne both having a chance of winning the coveted prize.
Qualifing
Round 1.
Aaron qualified in 3rd position with a strong 7.084 only two hundreths slower than No. 1 qualifier Pete Ridgeway. Tyronne managed a strong 7.09 sec pass to sit in 5th spot.
Round 2.
No improvement for the team in this round and remained in 2nd and fifth position.
Round 3.
What a session this was with every team stepping up to the plate and laying down some serious numbers. After done a run Lee Bektash No 1 with an incredible 7.02 pass 2 Dave Newcombe with a 7.03 pass Aaron third with a 7.05 pass and Tyronne fourth with a 7.06 pass
Eliminations
Round 1.
Aaron runs a fast reacting .028 - 7.068 against Enzo Demizio's 7.313 for the win
Tyronnes .024 reaction coupled with a 7.08 ends Bill Perdikaris's day as he runs a 7.31
Round 2.
Tyronne is up against Scott Porter and a 7.07 at 193.1mph beats Scott's 7.13
Aaron has to run John Barbagallo, John is in the race for championship honours so both are keen to win this one. Aaron's .020 on the tree coupled with a 7.04 at 193.49 puts away John's 7.348 as he gets bad tyre shake and has to do a pedal job.
Round 3.
Tyronne and Aaron head to head. Tyronne red lightd his chances away though it would have done him no good as Aaron's 7.07 would have been to good for Tyronne's 7.09 pass
Finals.
Aaron is up against Dennis Whiting, Dennis has had a great weekend and it is good to see him progress to the final. Aaron is first away with a .035 to Dennis's .048 reaction time. Aaron is never headed running .998 to the 60ft and a great 7.04 pass to Dennis's 7.125.
Conclusion .
What a weekend for the team Aaron has taken out his first Winternationals and has won his third consecutive Australian Championship. Tyronne also claims his third consecutive runner-up spot to Aaron Nuber 1 and Number 2 again. Both drivers also running their best ever ET Tyronne a 7.06 and Aaron 7.04
